I’ve often talked about my love of meal planning to anyone who will listen (and some who won’t). One of the main things that I stress is that you can be flexible! And last week was proof of that! We didn’t change a whole lot, but we had the boxed mac and cheese on Tuesday, and Sunday we went to dinner at my Mom’s house rather than eating our planned meal here.
So what are we having today? The cheddar brats we didn’t have yesterday! And about 10 tornado warnings. We’d meant to grill, but I’m writing this at 8:30 and we’re still cooking. Oops? So her’s our meal plan for the rest of May and start of June (um, excuse me, but how the heck is it June?) and hopefully NEXT week we’ll be able to grill since this week is calling for rain every.single.day. Hmph.
May 27: cheddar brats, cheesy potatoes, corn on the cob
May 28: chicken patty Parmesan (using turkey), zucchini pancakes, salad
May 29: garlic Parmesan chicken tenders, frozen green beans (steamed with some butter and garlic salt), salad
May 30: homemade Stromboli, cheesy bread sticks (after this week we’ll be saying goodbye to these), salad
May 31: garlic herb stuffed pork chops, fried potatoes, salad
June 1: BBQ bacon wrapped chicken (grilled), hobo potato packs, salad
June 2: grill something from the freezer – we’ll see what we pick!
How was your Memorial Day weekend? What are you eating this week? Let me know!
