What I Ate Today: 1st Edition

My daily eats are pretty boring, but I tend to gravitate towards these posts on other blogs, so I thought I’d take a stab at doing it myself.

Today was a bit snackier than normal (look at me, inventing words!), so I thought this was a great first post! I’m trying to decide if I want to change up the days that I do this, or stick to Wednesdays since “What I Ate Wednesday” has a nicer flow than “What I Ate Today,” but for now, we’ll stick to something that can be any day of the week.

This morning started with a tea blend from a Christmas sampler I got and a pineapple Greek yogurt from Aldi (SO GOOD) around 8:30am.

Around 9:30am, I had my daily kiwi, a Cara Cara orange, and some strawberries.

Around 10:00am, I had a mint green tea and two hard boiled eggs topped with some Himalayan salt. Yes, I keep a salt grinder and pepper grinder in my desk drawer.

One of my coworkers brought some Valentine candy, so around 11:00am I caved and grabbed one of these happy little things.
Side note, I snagged two of these and brought them home for Kalen. Wife of the year!

Lunch was around 1:00pm, and it was 1.5 cups of the soup I mentioned in my Week 7 Meal Plan Post, plus the biscuit sandwiches I mentioned in that post too. Those sandwiches were so so so good, and they reheated really well in the microwave. If you make anything, MAKE THOSE!

Around 2:30pm I had two Kraft string cheeses, and a can of Diet Dr. Pepper. I love snack time. And around 3:15pm, I had some of these almond butter granola cups and they are freaking DELICIOUS!!!! I’ve had the peanut butter variety, and these win, hands down.

No really, go buy them now. Thank me later.

Dinner tonight was leftovers from Monday’s meal. I decided to steam some fresh broccoli and make a cheese sauce to go with my dinner. This was the BBQ Beef & Cabbage also mentioned in the post linked above – Kalen and I both loved it!

And, while this hasn’t been eaten yet, it will be! Dessert was snagged from the office too. Happy Wednesday!
