Yesterday began like any other day. I woke up, grumbled and stumbled and got ready for work, worked, and then came home. Kalen and i have been trying to have a freezer meal on Friday nights now (although last night it was a frozen pizza we grabbed while at Aldi), and doing our weekly grocery shopping then.
As we were leaving, Kalen tossed a load in, and started it like normal, and off we went! One trip to Dollar Tree and Aldi later, and we were home, carrying in bags of food and water softener salt. Except, all was not well.

Kalen took a gander at our washer and noticed that none of the soap was out of the tray. So, he thought that perhaps he hadn’t really started the load. Upon trying to restart it, water was slowly trickling in, and then it flashed an error code.
I guess this is my life now.
Kalen thinks he’s figured out what the problem is, so we’ve ordered a part and we will attempt to fix it ourselves. In the meantime, we can’t wash any laundry at home. Luckily, my mom has said we can use hers, so tomorrow we’ll not only be watching the Superbowl game, but washing clothes! We sure now how to party!
In the grand scheme of things, it could be worse. Our pipes didn’t burst after all the cold. Our pipes are not leaking anywhere. We have a place to wash our clothes, for free I might add. And, most importantly, we have money set aside for such things, so in the event that we need to hire someone to come out, we can do so.

And now, I’m off to gather all my dirty laundry, sort it, and prepare to crash my parents’ Superbowl party with my delicates and towels.
